June 3, 2020 – Sipi Asset Recovery provided a contingent of volunteers and supplies to help at the Elk Grove Community Food drive this past Saturday (MAY 30) to support the local community. Along with over 80 volunteers from local businesses, spread out at two locations, clocking in over 160 man-hours of labor, they collected a whopping 6,688.8 lbs of food and household goods.
All the food was immediately distributed to five different pantries. Each pantry received at least two SUV loads, and at least two pantries had to turn some away because they simply did not have room for what we collected, so some pantries got more!
Elk Grove Community Food Drive Committee, sponsors/coordinators of the event included the Rotary Club, Lions Club, and Chamber of Commerce.
David Garrett, V.P. Regulatory Affairs at Sipi Asset Recovery commented, “We encourage our employees to get involved in an Outreach Program to support others or consider giving time or donations to causes which are important to them. A food bank is just one of many opportunities to give back.”
