Sipi Asset Recovery is pleased to announce that our workforce inclusion program has a new name: RISE which stands for Responsibility Independence Self-Empowerment. We are also pleased to unveil our program’s new logo:
Sipi Asset Recovery recognizes that over 25% of Americans have a disability and the disability community is a labor pool that should not be overlooked. We are proud to be a leader in the e-Stewards Advance + program (http://e-stewards.org/special-programs/) that is demonstrating the value of disability inclusion to the electronic recycling industry.
Since commencing this initiative in 2018, we have added 11 new employees and enclave workers to our program which constitutes 19% of our Operations workforce in Elk Grove Village, IL. This team of employees has a variety of important roles and has been instrumental in our continued productivity gains throughout 2019 and into 2020. Pictured below are some of the current RISE team members (Front row left to right: Diane, Edgar, Jake, Kim. Back row left to right: Chris, Mike, Steven, Sean):
With the help of the James Emmett & Company and our legacy partners, Little City (www.littlecity.org), Avenues to Independence (avenuestoindependence.org) and Community Support Services (cssservices.org), our RISE program has exceeded our expectations. We continue to pursue new candidates while forming new partnerships in the community and are excited about continuing to drive our RISE program in 2020.
